What makes for a thriving rural community?
As Texans look to the future, that’s the question The Texas Tribune hopes to answer in its upcoming special event, “The Future of Rural Texas,” supported in part by KAMU.
On Nov. 17-18, join The Texas Tribune as industry experts, community leaders and local lawmakers discuss what rural communities are facing and how to move forward.
The event is free and open to the public, and you can join online or in person at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. However you plan to join, please RSVP to attend – you can even submit a question for the panelists.
The two-day event features thoughtful panel conversations, one-on-one interviews and stories of success. Speakers will discuss what’s ahead for rural Texas in public and higher education, health care, infrastructure investment, economic development, broadband access and more.
