Music Nights
Go back in time with KAMU as we bring some of the world’s favorite bands, genres and musicians to your screen. The music fun starts Saturday night, Aug. 13 with The Bee Gees, James Taylor and a tribute show to George Harrison. On Monday and Tuesday evenings, catch the sounds of the ’60s. Our music features end Saturday, Aug. 20 with a look back at the big band era, honky-tonk hits and The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.
All Creatures Great & Small: The Next Chapter
Aug. 14 at 6:30 p.m.
One of KAMU’s most beloved MASTERPIECE shows, “All Creatures Great and Small,” is giving us a peek into the future ahead of Season 3’s premiere in January 2023. Plus, reminisce on Season 2 by going behind-the-scenes to learn more about the talent in front of and behind the camera. Interviews with cast members include Nicholas Ralph (James Herriot), Callum Woodhouse (Tristan Farnon), Rachel Shenton (Helen Alderson) and many more! Production members, including lead writer Ben Vanstone and lead director Brian Percival, will provide the background on the delights – and challenges – of working with the show’s many animals.

Ken Burns: The National Parks

One of the most acclaimed directors of our time, Ken Burns filmed for more than six years to give viewers a look into nature’s most spectacular parks. From Yosemite to Yellowstone, to the Everglades of Florida, to the Arctic in Alaska, “The National Parks” shares stories of people from every background. Find out how people devote themselves to saving precious portions of the land they love, and in doing so, are reminded of the meaning of democracy.

Les Misérables 25th Anniversary Concert
Aug. 21 at 7 p.m.
Join KAMU and the amazing cast of one of the most beloved musicals, “Les Misérables,” as we celebrate this one-of-a-kind musical phenomenon. Filmed in 2010, the 25th Anniversary Concert’s magnificent score includes the songs “I Dreamed a Dream,” “On My Own,” “Bring Him Home,” “Empty Chairs at Empty Tables” and many more. Performers from all genres and backgrounds are included in the cast, such as Jenny Galloway, Katie Hall, Nick Jonas, Norm Lewis, Matt Lucas, Ramin Karimloo and Colm Wilkinson.
